The cities are homes for fallen burnt out stars   to carry on as bright neon lights   I am amongst friends here for the burn outs made me self aware.   My shell of rust cracks and buckles and creaks  it’s a necessity in the city, to protect from the burn of acid rain, the heat of steam vents and the impassable smog so the freckles on me should glow as constellations   but they just pit as dark sun spots and my body is flecked with oil whether I made this myself or it was cast idly on me I do not know.
